There's something about the middle of the desert that strips everything back to what actually matters. No big guest list, no timeline crammed with formalities — just two people, that vast red landscape, and the kind of light you genuinely can't fake.

I've photographed a lot of weddings over the years, but a micro wedding at Uluru hits different. With just a handful of loved ones there, the whole day feels less like a performance and more like... life, happening. Vows exchanged with the wind picking up. Laughter between the "official" moments. That quiet look between a couple when they realise it's actually happening.

My job in a setting like this is mostly just to stay out of the way and let it unfold — the same calm, relaxed approach I bring to every wedding, just with red dirt underfoot and one of the most breathtaking backdrops on earth doing half the work for me.
