Every now and then a venue surprises you, and Trawool Estate did exactly that. Tucked into Victoria's central north, this luxury hotel is surrounded by rolling hills and these incredible granite boulders scattered across the landscape — it makes for the sort of backdrop you just don't get anywhere near Melbourne. As a wedding photographer, that's the kind of setting that makes you want to wander off and shoot every angle.
The food and wine were genuinely delicious, the sort of spread that has guests going back for seconds and still talking about it the next day. And the reception space itself was amazing — warm, well-considered, exactly the kind of room that lets a day like this feel both special and relaxed at once.
Surrounded by their closest friends, this couple had planned the most epic celebration — and it showed. Lots of laughs, plenty of dancing, and that easy, joyful energy that only happens when a room is full of people who truly love you. Exactly the kind of night that keeps a photographer on their toes trying to catch it all.
